1922
Somaschini has been producing gears since 1922 and through four generations of entrepreneurs today brings onto the market that tradition which, together with the state–of-the-art methods and high technologies, becomes synonymous with experience and reliability.
2007
In 2007 in order to gather the activities for the automotive high volumes production into a single dedicated unit in 2007 is founded the new production unit Somaschini Automotive s.r.l.
2010
In 2010 Somaschini Group founds in USA the SBG South Bend Gear LLC.
2013
Since 2013 the Company SBG South Bend Gear LLC is called SOMASCHINI NORTH AMERICA LLC.
2019
Since September 2019, Somaschini is part of the Spanish group CIE Automotive, an industrial group specialized in the supply of components and assemblies for the automotive sector, becoming part of CIE Automotive Gears Division, worldwide excellence in the design and production of precision gears.
WHO WE ARE TODAY
We are part of a major industrial group (CIE Automotive) with annual sales of 2.5 billion euro and a global presence.
Somaschini generates annual sales of about 76 million euro, employing about 260 experienced persons.
